Blue sky fades with a gentle sigh,
Sunlight on peaks, shadows drawing nigh,
Turquoise river, trees in green light,
Kamikochi’s beauty, serene and bright.

Story Behind the Photo – An Evening Walk in Kamikochi
This photo was taken in the early evening of early June in Kamikochi, Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture. As the sun started to set, I walked past Kappa Bridge, heading towards my lodging while capturing the fading light of the day. The gentle rays of the sun lit up the peaks of Mount Okuhotaka, the turquoise Azusa River, and the fresh green trees, creating a stunningly beautiful scene. Walking leisurely and pressing the shutter without any particular thoughts was an incredibly luxurious time for me in one of my favorite places.
From an Amateur Photographer’s Perspective – Capturing the Moment
Walking through Kamikochi during the golden hour, I felt a profound sense of peace. The interplay of light and shadow created by the setting sun on the mountains, river, and trees was breathtaking. Without rushing, simply enjoying and capturing the moment was a delightful experience.
