On an early June morning, I had the opportunity to visit Matsushima, renowned as one of Japan’s Three Great Views. Despite the cloudy sky, I ventured to Saigyo Modoshi no Matsu Park for the first time. The view of Matsushima Bay, with its countless pine-covered islands floating on the calm sea, was a sight to behold. Even under the overcast conditions, the landscape exuded a serene and quintessentially Japanese atmosphere.
