In mid-June, on a tranquil morning, I visited Meigetsu-in in Kamakura to capture the beauty of its famed hydrangeas. Among the numerous shots taken that day, this close-up of a blue hydrangea stood out. By focusing on the bloom with a wide aperture, I isolated it against a blurred green background, enhancing the delicate and striking beauty of the flower. This single bloom, in its perfect state, encapsulates the serene charm of Kamakura in June.
