Yakidake’s Fiery Dawn: A Kamikochi Morning

jsqwebmaster, 06/22/202406/21/2024

Yakidake, with its rugged face,
Morning light reveals its fiery grace,
Volcanic peak, soil exposed so stark,
In Kamikochi’s morning, a nature’s mark.

Photo Description – Morning View of Yakidake

In this early morning shot, the majestic Yakidake Mountain is captured from the right bank of the Azusa River, just past Kappa Bridge. The mountain stands tall, its peak catching the morning light, revealing the rugged and exposed soil of this active volcano. The soft morning light highlights the green foothills, while the white clouds or possibly smoke from the northern side of the mountain add a touch of mystique.

Story Behind the Photo – Embracing Kamikochi’s Morning Light

In early June, the serene atmosphere of Kamikochi in the early morning offers a unique opportunity to witness the beauty of Yakidake. After descending from Myojin, I crossed Kappa Bridge, where Yakidake’s imposing figure became more prominent. Unlike the previous evening, when the mountain was backlit and its features obscured, the morning light revealed its true rugged nature. The exposed soil at the peak and the possible volcanic smoke added to the scene’s dramatic impact.

From an Amateur Photographer’s Perspective – Capturing Nature’s Drama

Photographing Yakidake in the early morning was a rewarding experience. The gentle light of dawn is ideal for capturing the mountain’s rugged texture and the serene flow of the Azusa River. As I stood on the right bank, the absence of crowds allowed me to take my time and find the perfect angle. The combination of the mountain’s raw beauty and the tranquil river made for a captivating shot. This image reminds me of the unique and fleeting moments of natural beauty that Kamikochi offers.
