On a clear morning in late November, I found myself at Lake Kawaguchi in Yamanashi Prefecture, where the autumn scenery painted a striking picture. A lone maple leaf, deep red against the season’s bright blue sky and fluffy white clouds, stood out in a mesmerizing tricolor display.
Photo Description – A Tricolor Masterpiece at Lake Kawaguchi
Strolling near Lake Kawaguchi after a visit to the Momiji Corridor, I came across a maple leaf that had turned a captivating deep red. This photo captures the leaf’s vibrant hue against the autumn sky, creating a natural tricolor masterpiece of blue, white, and red.
Story Behind the Photo – A Serendipitous Discovery
While wandering around the shores of Lake Kawaguchi, I stumbled upon this particular maple leaf. It was the most intensely red I had seen that day, standing out among the many other maples. The moment was spontaneous, compelling me to capture this unique spectacle of nature.
From an Amateur Photographer’s Perspective – Capturing Depth with a Vintage Lens
Equipped with my recently favored old macro lens, I set out to capture the vivid red of the maple leaf. Stopped down to F8, the lens enabled me to sharply delineate the leaf’s contours while highlighting its deep red color against the contrasting blue and white backdrop.
