Story Behind the Photo – An Early Morning at Matsuyama

On this particular day, blessed with perfect weather, I woke up early and headed to Matsuyama Castle. The early hour, combined with the clear sky, allowed me to capture the castle from an optimal vantage point. The vastness of the deep blue sky served as a perfect canvas, emphasizing the castle’s prominence. After the shoot, as a delightful end to my visit, I treated myself to a refreshing glass of Ehime’s specialty – orange juice straight from the tap, available at a nearby shop in the plaza.

Photography always presents choices. For this shot, while I could have approached closer to capture a more dynamic view of the castle, I decided to shoot from a slightly distant location.
